Principal & Chief Creative Officer
My first wedding experience was at age five. I was the ring bearer for my uncle's wedding in Dallas. I’ll never forget that day overflowing with family, strawberry-filled lemon cake and ginger ale with green sherbet punch. I was in love. I grew up looking forward to attending or playing my alto saxophone at weddings, family reunions and birthday parties and knew there was a lifelong connection.
In 2003, I started planning parties for a public relations firm in Raleigh, North Carolina. While at the firm, I experienced working alongside southern belles engaged to their college sweethearts. I would pop by their desks listen to their wedding plans. I inserted myself in their planning process, provided suggestions and even invited myself to their weddings (which is a huge "no-no" by the way).
In 2005, I was the day-of wedding coordinator for a colleague’s wedding. I walked away from that event knowing this was the job for me. I’ve been in the business for more than 10 years and it's my purpose. I wake up every day knowing I’m bringing joy and comfort to people as they plan the start of their new lives together.
My perfect party: An afternoon of Texas BBQ, bourbon, Blue Bell Ice Cream, oysters on a half shell, jazz horns and strings on the grounds of a historic mansion in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C.
